Consultation on HCPC registration fees
We are consulting on proposals to increase our registration fees. If adopted, the changes would be effective from 1 October 2019 and existing registrants would pay the new renewal fee when their profession next renews its registration.

New threshold for paramedic registration
In 2018, we raised the level of qualification for paramedics’ registration. Previously paramedics needed to achieve ‘Equivalent to Certificate of Higher Education’ to become registered. Currently they need to achieve ’Bachelor degree with honours’.

Revisions to our Standards of Proficiency- what you need to do
The HCPC’s Standards of Proficiency set out the technical requirements and competencies – the proficiencies – that all registrants are required to be able to demonstrate on entry to their profession. All approved education programmes must ensure graduates can meet these standards for their profession. The revised sets of Standards of Proficiency must be delivered to all new cohorts starting from 1 September 2023.
