To mark South Asian Heritage Month 2025, Krishna Gohil, a senior lecturer in podiatry and prescribing shares her journey from NHS clinical care to academia, and how her South Asian heritage continues to shape her work and inspire future healthcare professionals.

The standards of proficiency that hearing aid dispensers must meet in order to join, and remain on, the HCPC Register. 

This data primarily relates to the application of the previous (or legacy) model, which was discontinued at the end of the 2020-21 academic year, and replaced by the new model.

This report provides highlights from the data set produced, focusing on time and quality wherever possible.

The standards of proficiency that operating department practitioners must meet in order to join, and remain on, the HCPC Register. 

Case study: An employer raised concerns about an operating department practitioner’s (ODP) conviction of fraud. For this conviction, she was sentenced to 18-months imprisonment and suspended for 24 months.

The ethical framework within which our registrants must work

This qualitative study aimed to explore expectations of the role of the HPC as a regulator, initial expectations when preparing and lodging a complaint, case handling and the outcome of the fitness to practise process.
