This annual report provides an account of our work in 2021-22 investigating fitness to practise (FTP) concerns raised with us about the 15 professions we regulate.

This is a unique opportunity to be mentored by senior Council members and to engage in discussions and decisions on important public interest matters, and I look forward to welcoming our new Council Apprentices.

The consultation on preceptorship sets out our ambition to construct a set of principles that can support registrants, employers and the wider sector in delivering better healthcare by ensuring healthcare professionals are better supported at key points in their careers.

We have successfully concluded our first inclusive mentoring programme Beyond Barriers, launched earlier this year.
