CPD Week 2025 begins
Monday 3 March marks the start of the HCPC's first ever CPD Week. We will be showcasing resources, sharing good practice and publishing materials designed to support registrants with their CPD.
Reports
We publish a range of reports including our annual reports and accounts, and our annual fitness to practise and education reports
Our work
Our corporate plan sets out the important development work we want to achieve to progress our strategy
Be visible, engaged and informed
Aim: We regulate, take and communicate decisions which are informed by a deep understanding of the environment within which our registrants, employers and education providers operate
Misuse of title
We consider misuse of title cases, where individuals use one of our protected titles without being on our Register.
Key principles of confidentiality
You should keep the following principles in mind when handling information
Engaging with the public about what they do via social media
Case study: Simon is a dietitian. He has recently been considering new ways of engaging with his service users and members of the public
Reflecting by yourself
Case study: Emily is a dietitian working in an NHS Trust hospital. She also volunteers at a local charity that raises awareness about diabetes at events and conferences
Failure to maintain adequate records
Case study: A dietitian’s employer raised concerns about their clinical practice and conduct, following a number of incidents relating to six different service users.
