The standards of proficiency that radiographer must meet in order to join, and remain on, the HCPC Register. 

The HCPC has updated its standards of proficiency for the first time since 2015. The crucial changes have been made following an extensive period of engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, to seek views and develop standards in line with current professional practice.

The following terms are defined in the context of preceptorship.

The requirement to be open and honest, otherwise known as the duty of candour, is part of the standards of conduct, performance and ethics.

The standards of proficiency that chiropodists / podiatrists must meet in order to join, and remain on, the HCPC Register.

We have significantly expanded the role of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), placing specific importance on making sure that practice is inclusive for all service users. This is one theme within the key changes to the updated standards of proficiency for all professions. 

Professional bodies typically promote the profession, represent their members and provide curriculum frameworks, training and CPD.
