This report is for a research study conducted by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Health Professions Council (HPC).

The research involved two audiences; the general public and registrants of the HPC and comprised four distinct elements.

- General public quantitative research (face-to-face omnibus survey);
- General public qualitative research (face-to-face in-depth discussions);
- HPC registrants’ quantitative research (postal survey);
- HPC registrants’ qualitative research (discussion groups).

The main trends are then presented in the overarching key implications section.
